Why harassment is unacceptable.

We’ve all been there. You see someone super cute across the hall, or you pass them on the street, but how do you introduce yourself? How do you let this person know you are interested? Here are five ways to get her attention:

1. Shout at her from your car as she walks down the street.

The best way to get a girl to notice you is to just yell it out at her. Just give her a nice “Looking good, baby.” Nothing sparks a woman’s interest in a man more than being harassed on the street.

2. Stalk her on social media.

If you think she is cute, feel free to “Like” every profile picture she has ever posted, and don’t forget to comment on them. If you miss a single picture she is sure to miss the message that you think she looks good.

3. Spread a rumor about her.

If you really like the girl, you’ve got to beat out the competition right? Just start a little rumor about her dating or personal life to make sure that people think she is unfit to be seen with.

4. Act like a jerk to her.

If you want her to like you, do not under any circumstances act like a gentleman. Tease her, start a conversation, then don’t text her back, make her think that she can change you because as we all know, girls can’t resist a project.

5. Ignore personal space.

Girls don’t realize when they really like a guy, so make sure you get right up in her face. Give her a pinch as you walk by, or stand really close, so she starts trying to move away from you. If you aren’t clear, she isn’t going to get it.

Harassment in any form is unacceptable. Cat-calling is not a compliment, it is humiliating. Getting too close does not increase your chances, it is just scary. If you really like someone, or think they are beautiful, treat them with respect and kindness. Introduce yourself in person before trying to friend them on Facebook, and stop liking profile pictures from freshman year. It’s okay to be nervous to talk to someone, but it is not okay to make another person fear for their life because you think that is flattering. Stop Harassment.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
