Midterms - it seems like they're never going to end! While balancing schoolwork and studying for all of those tests, students can really feel under pressure. Though the stress can be a lot to handle, it's important to take time each day to relax and unwind. Here are some of the best ways to de-stress from the stress of midterms!

Spend time outside

This isn't the case for everyone at college (especially those back east), but if it's nice weather out, soak in the sunshine! Go sit out by the pool or take a walk around campus. Getting some fresh air can help boost your immune system and energize your mind.

Take a nap

Napping isn't just for kids or for when you're sick! Catching some z's can alieviate your mood and increase your alertness - two things you really need in order to get some good studying done!

Listen to music

Everyone likes music! You can even listen to some while you nap. How bow dat. Music has the power to make you happier and allows you to relax!

Take a shower/bath

Letting the warm water beat on your back feels amazing. The hot water can actually relieve tension and soothe tense muscles. And also those things called bath bombs are pretty fun too - their lavender or mint scents can help zen you out!

Attend an activity on campus

Events/activities happen on campus pretty much every day, and there's bound to be something you'll be interested in. So take some time out of your schedule to enjoy what your school has to offer. Whether it be a free food or a speaker on campus, you'll be glad you went!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
