While the beginning of winter break was filled with the excitement of catching up with old friends and seeing family, by now you're probably missing the exciting, fast paced college life. That being said, here are some ideas to overcome the winter break boredom!
1. Go to the gym
You have no excuse here. You have all the time in the world to workout. Take care of yourself while you have the time to do so. I suggest trying a different workout. Grab some friends and take different exercise classes. Switching up your workout will keep you far from bored!
2. Read a book
Chances are back at school you don't have enough hours in the day to get work done, let alone read a book. Winter break is a perfect time to read a new book because you have plenty of time and it will refresh your mind before heading into a new semester.
3. Hang out with your parents
You don't get to see your parents everyday at school, so use as much time possible to hang out with your parents. Have lunch with your mom or even having a sit down family dinner will make you feel reconnected with your parents.
4. Explore your city
Get outside and go explore around your city. Grab some friends and try a new restaurant or explore a part you haven't gone to yet. You'll be surprised by all the hidden gems your city has to hide.
5. Pamper yourself
Get your hair cut or your nails done while you have time. As soon as classes start back up again, you'll be swept into the undertow of balancing classes, work, homework, tests, etc. You won't have time (or money) to treat yourself! So use this time to your advantage and take care of yourself while you can.
Winter break doesn't have to be a month of laying around doing nothing! Use this time to your advantage and do what you want with it. Enjoy the slow paced life while you can!
