Everyone knows that you tend to lose that Christmas spirit after you hit a certain age. Even if you may have younger family members that ~believe~, it still isn't ever the same as when you did. But don't worry! There are plenty of ways you can still have that magic even well into your twenties! Here are the top five best:

1. Hallmark!

The Hallmark Channel is WONDERFUL this time of year! All anyone ever needs is Christmassy love stories that all have happy endings!

2. Literally Rock Around that Christmas Tree!

Play some holiday tunes to get that tree almost as festive as you're going to be!

3. You CANNOT go wrong with gingerbread houses!


They're entirely frustrating, but hey! You're an adult! You're USED to frustration, so make this one fun!

4. Fuzzy socks and hot cocoa.

Need I say more?

5. Surround yourself with people you love and appreciate.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
