Five Unique Shows On Netflix You Should Binge Watch

Binging shows on Netflix is quickly becoming a national pastime and by now you have probably watched dozens of shows, both original Netflix content as well as shows from other networks. The list below is meant to represent a diverse set of shows that you may or may not have watched yet. Nonetheless, there is something for everyone. Don't limit yourself to just one genre. These high quality shows are sure to entertain you regardless of what you usually watch.

1) House of Cards

This political thriller is one of Netflix's most acclaimed original shows. Consisting of an extremely skilled cast and thrilling storylines, House of Cards is bound to keep you on your feet while still managing to teach a little something about politics.

2) The Office

Perhaps one of the greatest comedy television shows of recent, The Office, has an amazing ensemble cast playing characters you'll never forget. This show managed to make audiences laugh for nine great seasons, so if you haven't had the privilege to experience The Office yet, get on that!

3) Master of None

Aziz Ansari proves his capability of leading a cast in this young Netflix Original. Master of None is a comedy show focused on the life of an Indian American aspiring actor and his group of friends as they navigate adulthood and life in New York City. This show manages to be very funny while also touching on serious issues such as diversity in the media.

4) Gossip Girl

As someone who has watched several teen shows in his day, I can attest that this is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, teen show ever. This show is well done commentary on class and privilege through the stories of modern day Upper East Side elites. Through out its six seasons it manages to introduce you to great cast of characters with exciting and thrilling storylines.

5) American Horror Story

This list would not be complete without a little fear. American Horror Story is unique in the fact that it is an anthology series, which means that each season is its own unique storyline with a new series of characters. With each season consisting of a new theme this allows you to experience a variety of plots. While there is no guarantee that you'll like every season, I highly recommend this aesthetically pleasing production.
