When you're checking your newsfeed on Facebook or scrolling down your timeline on Twitter, do you ever see something that makes you think...I can't even. I most certainly do. Here's 5 things I'm tired of seeing on social media:
1. “Free my bro (insert name here)."
I know all circumstances are different, and it’s hard to have family or friends you love and care about incarcerated…but if Bob is in jail for kidnapping, rape, first degree murder, or all three, then he should probably stay in jail, buddy.
2. People that post about their relationship…EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
People and their “social media lives” kill me, especially when it comes down to their relationship and relationship goals. “Look at us! We’re the perfect 16-year-old couple and we’re having a baby together and we wear matching outfits and our relationship is better than yours. Oh, and he showers me with Victoria’s Secret underwear and body spray.” Okay, we get it. Don’t need to make a flipgram about your basic relationship every day.
3. Those “Retweet/Share if you love Jesus, Ignore if you love the Devil” pictures.
Using Jesus for retweets...you should be ashamed of yourself.
4. People that stunt.
“Stunt: to floss or show off. When somebody's tryin' to stunt, the playa is trying to show off all he's (or she’s) got” (Urban Dictionary). Shoot, some of you need to teach me how you stretch your money because how is it possible to be able to afford $200 weave every other week, fancy clothes, flashy jewelry, designer belts, and every pair of Jordans ALONG WITH bills and you work at McDonald’s PART TIME? Something ain't adding up.
5. Last, but not least: people that post all of their personal problems, baby daddy issues, and drama with their “bestie.”
There are some things that need to be handled outside of social media. If your best friend slept with your boyfriend or your baby daddy doesn’t pay child support, you don’t have to run to Facebook or Twitter about it! Handle the situation one-on-one, unless you want to end up like Meek Mill and get exposed.
