Most students have been back to school for a week or two now and if you're already drowning in work- you certainly aren't alone. Here are 5 tips to help you get back on track!

1. Make a to-do list

Making a to-do list can help you figure out exactly what needs to be done and you will have it all in one place. A to-do list can seem overwhelming if you have a lot on your plate but it is so satisfying when you start crossing things off!

2. Set a timer

When you are trying to accomplish a task challenge yourself by setting a timer to see if you can get it done in a specific amount of time. This will help keep you on track and get things done in a timely manner- no more procrastinating!

3. Find a buddy

Having a friend to do work with can help keep you motivated and you can help each other when you get stuck on your work or don't know what step to take next!

4. Set long term goals

Set those goals and work to crush them! Having long term goals to accomplish will help you stay motivated and continuously working each day.

5. Ask for an extension

If you're really on the down and out and you don't think you will be able to accomplish the task by the due date then don't be afraid to ask for an extension. Most professors have a heart and are willing to help you out at least once- they would rather that than have to read a cruddy paper so don't be afraid to see what they can offer you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
