Thanksgiving break is over and finals are quickly approaching. Soon Tulane University's campus will be overrun with sweats-sporting, coffee-chugging, addy-popping, sleep-deprived students, fighting to get the library's last seat. With just a week left of this semester's classes, here are five tips to help you get through the cruel hell that is finals.
Start your day early if you want a studying spot anywhere on campus
Whether it's in the library or in the business school, you have to fight to get a good study spot anywhere on campus. Waking up at 11 AM and hoping to get a booth at PJ's? Ha, please. My best advice for you is to get up early enough so that you at least have a shot.
Start studying at least a week before
With final exam schedules putting us to the ultimate test (ha, get it?), with even multiple assessments a day, a few days in a row, it is crucial that you start studying for each one early. Especially if you haven't cracked open that textbook all semester.
Take advantage of office hours
Though even I have had my fair share of unhelpful professors, a majority of them are there to serve as a resource. And, going in to see them shows you care, which might become useful when you're really close to getting that grade you want.
Don't stay up past 11 before a morning exam
Remember to take care of yourself
