Five Thoughts I Had While Watching the 'Zoey 101: Ten Years Later' Video

As a socially awkward and, of course, incredibly angsty middle schooler, I spent hours with my eyes glued to the TV to catch the shenanigans of Zoey Brooks and her preteen pals as they sported puka shell necklaces and cropped hoodies. Come on people, it was 2005. Yesterday, Sept. 19, 2015, was a huge day in the lives of many avid fans of the short-lived TeenNick show "Zoey 101." Yesterday, on the 10-year anniversary of the original "Time Capsule" episode, where Zoey records an unseen video potentially about her feelings for Chase Matthews, Nickelodeon released a video finally giving all of the fans the truth about Zoey's mystery movie. Unfortunately, it cuts away to the tragic "to be continued..." right when Chase learns the contents of the video. Will Zoey and Chase finally end up together? Stop playing with my emotions, Nickelodeon. I may be 20 years old, but I still need closure.

Many thoughts were whirling through my head during the five-minute clip, but here are the five things that probably stood out the most to me.

1. First of all, WHO IS THIS GIRL?

I'm sorry, Chase, I know you like love Zoey or whatever, but this girl is still way out of your league appearance-wise, so let's not be super rude about breaking off your lukewarm engagement.

2. Speaking of appearances, Chase's hair is not nearly as bushy as it once was.

You call that a fro? The conveniently placed flashback of you 10 years ago shows way more luscious locks, Matthews

3. WOW, Michael (Christopher Massey) looks the exact same. Good for him.

His crazy eyes are still on point. Also, where is Logan? I'm definitely more worried about how he aged.

4. OK, you finally have the DVD of Zoey's feelings for you. You're in a coffee shop and literally no one has a laptop to watch the video? That random guy in the corner has a VCR, but no laptop? Michael didn't bring a laptop with the video already in it to show his best friend? OK Nickelodeon, let's not get too crazy. It's 2015, everyone has a laptop. Reading a transcript of what Zoey says in the video is such a cop out and also makes me think she won't be featured in the next video Nickelodeon releases. I hope for everyone's sake that I'm wrong.

Not cool, Michael, not cool.
