Going to the Magic Kingdom is HUGE for me. I have been numerous times but it is still pretty stressful right up until the park opens. I always have a game plan and tend to know exactly where I'm going to go. When the gates open and I start walking down Main Street USA, these 5 things come into my head every time.
1. Haunted Mansion or Space Mountain? These two are my ALL time favorite rides. They are both very popular with everything else but they will always be the best ones. Haunted Mansion is, of course, a classic and you can't go wrong with the Sci-Fi aspect of Space Mountain. The only problem is that Haunted Mansion is to the left and Space Mountain is on the very opposite right hand of the park. It can be stressful but usually, I pick Haunted Mansion when I can't resist, but it always needs quick thought.
2. FOOD. Where do I want to eat?
Yes, I always have food on my mind. When it comes to a wonderful theme park like the Magic Kingdom, deciding where to eat can be tough. The closer it gets to lunch time there the longer the lines are going to get. It is good to always have a game plan on where I am going to be at that time. Am I going to be near Splash Mountain or will I be near Main Street and have to grab a bite there? It is all about planning and it is something that takes a lot of thought.
3. Why is the Carousel of Progress underrated?
This ride is such a classic and I am not even kidding when I say I think about this question all t he time. I love watching it with my parents and singing along to “There's a great big beautiful t morrow.” It goes through different time periods and explains what has canned. Not to mention t he thrill of looking for hidden mickeys with the changing of every set.
4. Why do people think The Magic Kingdom just for kids? One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say Disney World is just for kids. Umm. No. But then again, the only people who have said that to me are the people who have never been. Disney World, especially the Magic Kingdom, really is the happiest place on Earth. My parents are pretty old and they went to Disney World on their honeymoon. People miss the point, Magic Kingdom isn't for little kids, it's for the little kid in all of us.
5. Fireworks or no?
It is not a secret that the Magic Kingdom has a killer fireworks show. They do it big and
they have so many movie screens playing on the side of the castle. I have seen it so many times though and it is always so crowded. It is so beautiful but also it means shorter wait times on the rides. What's really more important?
