I'm in Hawaii right now, so this is pretty top-of-mind. Read on!

1. Extra-large beach towel.

Chances are, if you're in the sun, you're by the sand. And sand is hot. You'll want an extra, extra-large beach towel to avoid any sand-body-part mingling.

2. Maui Babe tanning accelerator.

Step 2 is a trick question—you won't be packing this. It's found all over Hawaii, and you'll be missing out if you don't grab a bottle.

Slather the chocolate-scented bronzing lotion all over you (post-sunscreen, of course) before sunbathing. You'll get an immediate color payoff and once you shower, you'll be glowing for days.

3. A bottle of aloe.

You will get sunburned. No matter how hard you try, or how many re-applications you put on. You'll need a bottle of aloe for that inevitable pain!

(I got a full-body sunburn today, as I'm writing this. Don't be me.)

4. Leave-in conditioner.

After you go in the ocean, the pool, or any body of water, your hair isn't going to be living its hot girl summer. But wait! Conditioner to the rescue.

Spray and massage it into your hair post-dip, and the frizziness, tangles and more will soon dissipate.

5. Sleep mask + earplugs.

With our phones mere feet away, snoring partners and friends alike, and inevitably hot weather, it's so hard to fall asleep nowadays. A sleep mask and a pair of earplugs allow you to completely unplug from all those distractions and nod off.

You'll need the Z's to charge up for all the days of fun ahead!
