On May 30th, 2016, we officially hit 10 years since The Hills first aired on MTV. Are you feeling old yet? In case you missed it, good ol' LC tweeted that MTV will be doing an anniversary special with her on Tuesday, August 2nd!! You can read more about that here. Naturally, I fan-girled, (is that a word?) all over the place. Obviously, when such a reunion occurs, you have to go back and watch all of the old episodes before hand. Think of it as studying for a final, (why yes, I did just liken The Hills reunion to taking a final - priorities guys). Let's be real though, not everyone has the time to catch up on old episodes of reality television shows on Hulu. But don't worry, I did it for you. And what's even better, I'm here to remind you of the good, the bad, and the ugly. Here are five things you realize when you re-watch The Hills.

1. Lauren Conrad didn't always have good hair...

These days, Lauren Conrad is a fashion mogul, author, a fabulous party planner, and has hair that looks too good to be true. But, when you watch old seasons on The Hills, (particularly season one and two, I might add), you'll notice that her hair is certainly not what it is now! It's seriously always in her face, and dirty! I lived through 2007, I rocked the side bangs too, don't get me wrong...but girl, get it together. I'm thinking you could make a meandrinking game out of how many times she pushes her hair out of her face in season 2, (warning: you will be heavily intoxicated).

2. Heidi Montag was way prettier before all the plastic surgery.

It's no secret that Heidi Montag went off the deep end. She became obsessed with changing everything about herself. After watching all of the old episodes, it was crazy to see how beautiful she was back then! But I suppose being with Spencer Pratt would drive anyone to be that crazy...

3. Spencer Pratt was in fact, an actual psycho.

"I want Heidi to Myself". We all remember this psycho moment between Spencer and Heidi's parents...if you don't, here is a little refresher. This is one of ENDLESS examples of Spencer demonstrating just how out of his damn mind he really is. In the early seasons of The Hills, Spencer was a tool. As the show progresses though, it seems to get worse. I have a theory that for every surgery Heidi had, Spencer got a little more crazy.

4. Lauren Conrad really, REALLY, liked headbands.

Throughout the show Lauren wears A LOT of headbands. Seriously. Maybe to hold back those 07' bangs? Maybe not. But lucky for us, someone actually took the time to find all of different headbands she wore, (cough, cough... get a life). And in case you were wondering... it's TWENTY-NINE! Also a good opportunity for that drinking game we talked about earlier. Seriously, I don't think I have ever owned 29 of anything... except maybe bobby pins. You can check it out for yourself here!

5. Early 2000's fashion should seriously be a crime.

I mean leggings under a dress, with heels none the less... come on Lauren, you're better than that. How she managed to go from this, to the fashion master she is today, demonstrates that we really can do anything we set our minds to.

Although we make a lot of jokes about Lauren's previous style, and the cast as a whole back then, The Hills will always have a special place in our hearts. And honestly, if you get nothing else from this, at least you can be thankful that nobody was around to document your fashion choices and hair choices in the early 2000s. Yikes.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
