As college students, the Uber app is our total savior. Every Thursday through Saturday especially Uber gets all of our love, attention and money. When the shuttles are canceled or the line is just too long we turn to this beloved app to save the day. Whether it’s a quick ride to a house party or a 20-minute ride into the city everyone has this thought process before hopping in the car for his or her ride.
1. How many ways can we split this?
Depending on how far you’re going the price of an Uber can really add up. As broke college students, none of us want to be the one to volunteer to pay for the whole thing and no, you can’t just pay me back with a drink when we get inside.
2. Why is there literally always a surge price?
I get that Uber is in high demand these days, but seriously twice the normal price just because a lot of people want one? It could literally just be raining and there’s a surge price because of it. How rude.
3. I hope this guy isn’t a serial killer.
Using Uber is totally normal but sometimes getting in the car with a stranger seems questionable. Like have you seen some of their pictures? So sketchy.
4. Where did you say you'd be parked? What kind of car is it again?
When you get that phone call saying he/she is here and you haven't left your building yet and you answer the phone like, "Oh hi! I'm totally walking out now! Be there in one sec!" When in reality nobody is ready and everyone is still pre-gaming and taking pics for their Instagrams.
5. Do you have an aux?
Most of us use Uber when were on our way to a party and we obviously want to keep the high-energy going. I’m sure all Uber drivers hate us when we grab the aux and immediately start blasting "Where are U now" by Justin Bieber. Sorry, not sorry.
Thanks for always being there for us Uber! Remember to never drink and drive.
