When you look at me, or any millennial driving a car, several judgements come to mind. Some of them are merited, but many are simply invalid. Here are 30 thoughts that go through the minds of millennial drivers:
1. I hate this traffic. When will the light turn green?
2. Why are all the lights green? I really want to put on this great song.
3. Google Maps or Waze? How do I get here? I wonder what people did before GPS.
4. Darn, this GPS is really out of date.
5. Why is gas so expensive? Oh wait, it's cheaper than its been in about a decade.
6. How many people can I drive? There are five seat belts in the car. Five people, maybe six if someone's small. No, still five people maximum.
7. Passing an accident. Gape time. That could have been me.
8. I should drive more carefully.
9. My car's a mess. Ignore it.
10. I promise it's not normally this messy. Actually, this is my car on a good day.
11. Oh no, I feel I a sneeze coming on.
12. Do all bluetooth headsets have to look dorky?
13. Is New Jersey the only state that doesn't let me fill the car self-serve? What is this madness?
14. Don't die on me.
15. If I speed the entire way... I will get there fifteen minutes faster and the risk of getting a ticket or in an accident. Not worth it.
16. What kind of car do you drive?
17. Guys, I'm going to Walmart. Who's pumped for groceries?
18. Is there ever any parking on campus?
19. That scratch isn't that noticeable, it it?
20. Shoot, that was a stop sign.
21. What is that smell?
22. It's socially acceptable to sing/dance in your car alone.
23. Must. Pass. Truck.
24. Awwww, a bunny.
26. I love driving.
27. I hate driving.
28. Do all people in a college town think J-walking is cool or something?
29. It's 2 a.m.. I hope I don't get hit by a drunk driver.
