I don't know what I'd do without you.

5 Things To Thank Your Roommate For

1. Thank you for being my personal Dr. Phil.

Without your advice I'd probably have dropped out already from stress. When I say it, I mean it — you keep me sane. Although I know you probably hate me the morning after we stayed up until 3:00 a.m. because I was crying about some stupid boy, you always do a very good job at pretending like you still care. I don't know how I would have survived this past year without our talks. Thank you for always being my shoulder to cry on and the person who I can trust with my life.

2. Thank you for being fat with me.

On those nights when I'm absolutely starving because of the lack of options in the cafe, I can always count on you to sit on the floor with me and snack on the olives in the fridge and left over chip crumbs; ok I'm the one sitting on the floor but you're always in close distance. Thank you for sharing my love for weird foods and most importantly thank you for not judging me when I get up to walk to the pantry to get my tenth snack of the night. Thank you for splitting the bags of popcorn with me when it's too buttery to finish it all. Also, thank you for our hour long grocery store adventures where we go to get makeup wipes and water and leave with the entire junk food supply in store. Without you, I would probably just snack alone... but that's never fun, now is it?

3. Thank you for taking naps with me.

We are roomie goals when it comes to our naps. Safe to say, thank god I have a roommate who likes to sleep as much as I do. Although, we really need to start working on going to bed at a normal time so we stop sleeping until 5 minutes before lecture and walk into class half asleep. Thank you for agreeing with me that I should absolutely sleep for 10 more minutes rather than dressing up, and thank you for waking me up when I end up sleeping for an extra 30 minutes rather than the 10 we agreed on.

4. Thank you for being a complete weirdo with me.

We're either screaming Hannah Montana at the top of our lungs in the car or tripping over air. No matter what the scenario may be, anyone who witnesses us together easily assumes that we have issues. Thank you for never being embarrassed when I start dancing on the way to class or play air guitar in my towel, and also, thank you for then joining me. Without you I would be stuck in my shell, because most people just can't handle my weirdness. Thank you for dealing with my weirdness, and by dealing with it I mean by being 10 times more of a weirdo than I am.

5. Thank you for being my first real best friend at college.

The transition into college is probably the most difficult change you have to adapt to. It's a completely new environment, without mom and dad to help you when things get too tough. You're on your own, except your not alone. Thank you for being my mom, dad, and best friend. You take care of me when I'm sick and write me letters and leave them on my desk with a lollipop before I wake up when I'm feeling down, to tell me that I'm not alone. You send me inspirational texts when I'm not feeling whole and you keep me sane, while being completely insane. Thank you for never leaving my side even when I have given you every reason to. Thank you for being my roommate, but most importantly, thank you for being my best friend.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
