In the past few years, I've made some of my closest friends from similar interests in movies and TV shows. Recently, however, I have been behind on a lot of TV shows and movies because I just don't have the same amount of time that I had in high school. My responsibilities as a college student can be overwhelming so I don't have too much time on my hands to catch up on shows, but I will eventually get to them. I know that sometimes expressing your love for a show is unavoidable and that's okay but please don't be "that guy". Here's some things you should avoid if you are "that guy."
1. PLEASE DON'T HINT AT A DEATH IF I JUST STARTED A SHOW!!!!!
This is my least favorite thing. When I love a certain character, I love with my whole heart so please don't make me imagine the worst or ruin loving a certain character because you're sad.
2. Don't say "We have to watch it immediately" and proceed to tell me how I've been missing out.
Chances are, I've probably already heard of the show and I feel really bad for not watching it. I have about 90 things on my watch list and I will eventually get to it.
3. Don't respond with "Yeah, it gets crazier" when I finally start watching the show YOU recommended and just want to share my experience with you.

4. Please only recommend one or two shows at a time.
I have probably added most of the popular shows to my watch list but please don't give me 10 new shows at a time because I probably won't be able3 to get to it until summer vacation.
5. Please don't get offended if I don't like a certain show.
We might not have the same taste in TV shows so please don't get offended when I don't like a TV show that you recommended. I promise to let you know kindly that it isn't for me instead of wasting your time and making you feel bad for liking the show.
