Sadly, spring break has passed for many college students. Now all that we are left with are our memories of the vacations we went on, or just the memories of all the spare time we had during that week. Regardless of what your plans were for this past spring break, there is nothing wrong with sharing with everyone what you did, especially if you went on vacation! What better way to show you had a great trip other than by talking about all of the amazing times you experienced?

I had the pleasure of going to Myrtle Beach for my spring break, and I had the time of my life! There were so many things to do, but I want to highlight what was the most exciting for me, starting with...

1. The Beach (Duh?)

I know you are probably thinking, "why would you even put the beach on this list? Obviously that's what you are there for." I know this. Honestly, the beach was so beautiful I can't just not talk about it. As anyone from Buffalo knows, the beaches here are not great at all. Going to Myrtle Beach was like going to a whole new world. The water was so nice, the sand was so clean, and I even saw a jellyfish while I was at the beach! That's definitely not something you get to see everyday, especially when you live in Buffalo where the beaches are so dirty people are scared to even go into the water.

2. Broadway at the Beach

This place was very interesting to visit, especially if you have kids. They have all types of attractions going from a mirror maze, to laser tag. You can be super adventurous and go ziplining, or you can just relax and do some shopping in the many shops they have to offer. Also, if you are looking for some tasty food, Wahlburgers is the place to go! There are so many things to do at Broadway at the Beach, you won't even know where to start!

3. Hollywood Wax Museum

If you're a person who prefers to stay away from outside activities, this wax museum is the place you need to be at! They have many intriguing wax figures, like Hugh Hefner, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, and so many more! The museum does a great job involving their audience with the wax figures, as they have props for you to wear/use when taking pictures with the celebrities! You must visit this place if you are in Myrtle Beach.

4. Seafood Buffet

The one thing I absolutely wanted to do while I was in Myrtle Beach was eat seafood. Being so close to the ocean, it was an opportunity that I could not pass up. Before I got there, I assumed I would be eating at a fancier restaurant when it came to my seafood dinner. However, when I arrived there I noticed there were so many seafood buffets I HAD to give one a chance, and I was not disappointed! Usually I am not a fan of buffets but the variety of food was astonishing, and it was all so delicious! I would definitely recommend you check out at least one seafood buffet if you are ever there.

5. Ripley's Aquarium

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful the Ripley's aquarium is. This tunnel shown in the picture is phenomenal, you walk through and all around you there are sharks swimming above you, schools of fish everywhere you turn, and the most visually appealing coral there is to see. You will not be disappointed if you go to this aquarium, especially if you are marine animal lover!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
