5 Things I Love About Going Back To Lax

It's almost time to make the trip up again. No matter what direction you're coming from we all anxious for everything La Crosse has to offer.

1. The Bluffs

A bluff hike or a drive up to grandads the bluffs are as pretty as can be when everyone starts hitting the books again.

2. The Pearl

There's nothing like old fashioned ice cream from the good old fashioned Pearl Ice Cream Shop. The lines are ridiculously long. But the ice cream is ridiculously good.

3. Myrick Marsh

Nothing like flying down the path of Myrick on roller blades or your trusty stead with 2 wheels.

4. Goose Island

A short drive from the city is one of the most fun places to unwind. Camping, Kayaking, Fishing, Boating, Goose Island is the place to go.

5. The Mighty Mississippi

The beautiful Mississippi is what makes La Crosse La Crosse. A short run from campus, a quick walk from downtown, the Mississippi takes everyone's breath away with sunsets, sunrises, and it's sheer mightiness.

So no matter what you're looking forward to in lax, don't take these five gems for granted. They are truly what contributes to making La Crosse such a special place o live.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
