Timehop, a millennial's best (and worst) friend. This application is a time capsule for those with social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and for your photos on your phone. In essence, whatever you posted on a specific day, it will find through various social media sites that you're a member and your own photo album (as long as you allow permission) and deliver to you.
While that can be a heart warming experience, it can also be equally as horrifying. Certain things are in the past for reason (and some should stay there).
Below are 15 things every Timehop user has once felt.
1. When That Picture Of You and Your Ex Resurfaces

(Source: gifsec.com)
Yikes. Whatever the reason for your breakup, there are plenty of people you don't want to remember that you dated- for some reason, those are the ones you put prominently on social media. Yikes.
2. When You See How Many Times You Updated Your Facebook Status in Middle School
Were you really that in love? Was 7th grade English that hard? Was P.E. that daunting? Did everyone really need to know everywhere you were going? Did everything require a Facebook status??
3. Those Middle School Photos That Resurface
Those mirror pictures you took? The times you went to the Apple Store and took an album of staged (but you played them off as candid) photos? The times you Picnik'd your photos? The awkward braces stage where you couldn't smile properly? The horror.
4. "Oh My God I Forgot About This"
That thing you and your friends used to do in middle school that you totally forgot about. That picture you took with that hot guy in middle school at the mall. That song you used to rock out to with your friends to. Whatever the occasion, it requires a screenshot and a text to your BFF about that thing you forgot about.
5. Nostalgia
Looking back, things weren't always that bad. Sure, certain parts of life are rough, but there were plenty of things that you can look back on and smile on. Certain pictures will spark beautiful memories for you- your excursions with your best friend, your old friend group, your high school marching band, whatever these things that are special to you are- an overwhelming feeling of nostalgia fills you as you read your posts from these special things.
Whatever your feelings may be, this website brings back memories. Some good, some bad, and some so ugly, it couldn't be covered in this article. Either way, this article is a great way to start your day with some humor. (Seriously, don't take anything too seriously- it's in the past and you survived)
