You've spent the majority of your life with your siblings, and they may drive you crazy, but you always love them anyway. When you're away from your siblings, it can be hard. Everyone who misses their sibling most likely goes through the stages of missing their sibling. This list is inspired by the 5 Stages of Loss or Grieving (which totally makes sense because they're missing from your life, even for a short time).
Stage 1: Denial
You absolutely refuse to believe that you will miss them. You acknowledge that you're at different stages of your lives, and it's okay. You're both living your own lives, and you can get along fine by yourself. You are independent and you can do it.
Stage 2: Anger
Something sets you off. Maybe your sibling didn't respond to your text within five minutes, maybe they broke your snap streak, maybe you heard big news about them from your mom. Maybe you're just mad that you're not together.
Stage 3: Bargaining
This is the start of desperation. You try to convince them to apply to your school, you beg them to visit you, you might even ask your parents to get your sibling to call you.
Stage 4: Depression
You've been apart for a while, and the sadness sets in. All you want to do is be in the same room as your sibling, and you can't. You start reminiscing, posting old pictures, and telling people the best sibling stories. Maybe you even shed a few tears (but would never tell them that).
Stage 5: Acceptance
Now you've accepted the fact that you're apart for a while. You know that you miss them, and they miss you too. Besides, you have the days counted down until you're reunited.
