1. Give Students the Same Low Interest Rates as Big Banks
It would only make sense, right? We are paying literally hundreds of thousands of dollars for our education. We are getting this education in order to brighten the future of America. It only makes sense to give us a break (and one that is at least as big as the big banks) on loans.
3. Require NSA to Get Warrants
Okay, we get it, the NSA is “keeping us safe.” Still, it only makes sense that before the government snoops through all of our phone calls, text messages, emails, and more that they first have a reason to do so.
4. Disclose Corporate Spending on Politics/
Lobbying
Sadly, the reality is that in return for a vote and some campaign money, candidates certainly help large corporations thrive. This is an act that needs to stop, and if it were up to me, there would be a spending limit and a specific duration for all campaigns.
5. Paid Maternal Leave
We all love our moms, and America loves to stress the importance of mothers by celebrating a day just for them! However, we simply do not love mothers enough to support them monetarily after giving birth and beginning to nurture an infant. We are one of the only developed countries that does not give this benefit to its women, and that needs to change.
Prediction:
Look for Bernie Sanders to make a run at winning the democratic primaries. Although he is still far behind Hilary Clinton, I believe that as more people learn about Sanders and his political views, political opinions will slowly begin to shift. Bernie Sanders, the Senator from Vermont, has views that will likely match many Democrats and much of the younger generations. He has already attacked the list of issues listed above and will continue to address topics in straightforward fashion. Look out Donald, Hilary, Jeb, and others, the Sanders bandwagon is slowly approaching.
