The holiday season is upon us and Christmas is just around the corner. You know what that means; it's just about time to put up those Christmas decorations. Break out the warm, fuzzy blankets, socks, and pajamas, watch Christmas movies all day and put that Christmas playlist on loop. Now if you’re anything like me, the holiday season excites you way too much, so you have probably done all of those things the day after Halloween. But, there is much more to the holiday season than the decorations, music, movies and fuzzy lounge-wear. If you get overly excited about anything holiday-related like me, then you probably have a case of "Obsessive Christmas Disorder", also known as OCD. Here are 5 signs that you have OCD, as told by Buddy the Elf:

1. You automatically transform from spooky to jolly the day after Halloween.

And no, you're not skipping Thanksgiving, despite what people lay think. You realize Thanksgiving is still a holiday, and you love Thanksgiving because who doesn't love eating food all day and then falling asleep on the couch? You just enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit a little earlier than most people.

2. You get overly excited when you see Christmas decorations and hear Christmas music in the stores.

Seeing Christmas decorations and hearing Christmas music in stores means that it is real and socially acceptable to display your decorations and blast Christmas music. FINALLY!

3. You don't understand how or why some people don't get excited about the holiday season.

I mean, how could anybody hate Christmas? It's the most wonderful time of the year, after all. If you come in contact with these people, ignore them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. No one likes a Grinch.

4. This is pretty much your reaction when you drink anything other than hot chocolate, your holiday drink of choice.

But no matter what you're drinking, it has to go in a festive Christmas mug. Regular cups become nonexistent and irrelevant this time of year.

5. This is pretty much your mood from November 1 through New Years.

No matter where you go or what you are doing, there's a smile on your face. You're practically radiating Christmas spirit. And if you have a severe case of OCD, you might even be humming Christmas carols to yourself.

If you related to any of these signs, then you probably have a mild to severe case of OCD, the jolliest "disease" anyone could ever have! Welcome to the club! And remember, "the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!" Happy holidays!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
