Do you ever just feel like staying home...all the time? Well that is me in a nutshell. I would openly consider myself a 'homebody' in every way. I love being at home on the couch, watching Netflix or reading a good book. I have been this way ever since I can remember; when my parents would want to take a shopping trip to a town an hour away, I would beg them to let me stay home so I could sit in the recliner chair and catch an episode of my favorite show instead. Granted, this was before my parents invested in the magical box called DVR, but either way I would have wanted to stay home. Even now in my early twenties, a night spent binge watching one of my favorite shows is a night well spent! For those of you who might still be in denial of your homebody tendencies, I decided to help you out. These are the 5 signs that you are a homebody:
1. You would rather your friends come over to your house than you going to their house.
This is something you will fight for, even if you have to do some hard core convincing. I will buy you some Chipotle if you come over! :)
2. Talking about leaving home for a weekend away makes you think about how much you will miss your couch.
All that relaxing you feel like you really needed this weekend has just flown out the window. It's nice to get out of the house every once in a while and also can be very needed, but it's hard for you to accept that. It's okay, you are not alone in this.
3. When you finally do get out and go to other people's houses, you feel lost.
Everyone else seems so comfortable, just lounging around even though they don't live here either, but you on the other hand are still trying to figure out where to sit. You try very hard to adjust to this new setting, but in the end all you can think about is going home to put your comfy clothes on and just feel like yourself again.
4. Being at home all the time doesn't really make you feel lame.
It takes a few weekends spent strictly at home to remind yourself that you are still young and that you need to get up off the couch and live life while you can!
5. No matter what, home is where your heart is.
No matter where you go, what you do, or how much you loved the experience, home is always one of your favorite places to be. On the couch, relaxing in your comfy clothes, watching Netflix.
