The new year is here, and you have made numerous resolutions that will never make it to February. Making promises that will never come true has just become a part of life not that you're in college. Speaking of college, the spring semester starts in less than a week, and you are wondering where all of the time went. Everything starts to become questioned. Did you hang out with everyone? Did I sleep all break or did I go out and enjoy myself for once? Here are 5 signs that winter break is coming to an end.
1. Your parents start asking when you go back. Chances are, they have grown tired of you sleeping all day. My parents try to run me out the house by not buying groceries. In reality they just want you to stop mopping around the house because you miss everyone on campus.
2. The local kids are back in school. There is no more yelling in the streets at 11 a.m. Instead, the neighborhood is silent, except for the one neighbor who is retired and likes to water his plants and walk his dog every morning.
3. All of your friends from other colleges are getting ready to leave. One-by-one everyone is leaving you and the crew is starting to dwindle. Yep, it is time to start packing all of your things as well. It is no secret that everyone is returning with more than they left with.
4. You have no CLEAN clothes left. That stack of laundry, won't clean it's self! Almost one month of clothing and less than two days to wash it and pack it. Enough of the pajamas everyday, save that for exam week.
5. The daily campus wide announcements are back. A friendly welcome back to stress reminder, is the only proper welcome, right? Well, I see it as a bunch of stuff clouding my email.
Remember, you have one week left. Get that last little bit of extra sleep, indulge in the home cooked meals, and hang out one last time with some amazing people. Don't forget, get on the road ASAP, hundreds of students will be moving back in and before you know it, there will be no parking spots left.
