So if you don't know, 5 Seconds of Summer is a band of 4 guys from Australia who have created a whole genre of music by bringing elements of classic rock, into modern music. They released a new single called "Want You Back" on February 22, 2018, and it has been a hit. There are so many great things about this song and things surrounding the release of this song.

After a year, 5 Seconds of Summer has finally released a new single. Whenever you have a band that you love who kind of drops off the planet for almost a year, you start to wonder what happened.

You also start to wonder if they are ever going to come out with new music again. That has been every 5 Seconds of Summer fan for the past year.

2. New single means a new album

In addition to releasing "Want You Back," 5 Seconds of Summer also announced that they will be releasing a new album sometime this year. This means a whole new album with brand new songs with a whole new sound. It is going to be amazing when it comes out. So when they were gone for a year, this is what they were doing.

3. It's a brand new sound

5 Seconds of Summer has created a whole new genre by taking elements from classic rock and combining them with modern elements. They have continued to do this with their new sound. They have taken elements of their previous sound and created something new. This new sound is a wonderful combination of the band sticking to their roots, while at the same time pursuing growth in their music and as a band.

4. And it's amazing

This new sound is fantastic. I think that "Want You Back" is up there on my list of favorite 5 Seconds of Summer songs. There is just something about the vibe of this song that is just so good. If this is what they can do with a single. I can't wait to see what they did with a whole album.

5. It is definitely a jam song

This is definitely your epic car jam song. From the music to the lyrics and the beat. "Want You Back" is definitely just a great new song to jam and rock out to!

6. New music also means new tour

Like with their music, its been a year since anyone has really seen a lot of 5 Seconds of Summer. But with this new single and the release of a new album sometime this year, the boys have set up another tour in more close intimate venues.

7. We've all been there

This song talks about a breakup and the feelings behind that, but that is what makes this so relatable. There is always that one that seems to have got away and this song touches on that. Yet it does it in a way that still makes it a great song and not one that will make you upset every time you hear it.

8. Our boys are finally back

I mean how can you not be happy that these lovable goofballs are back on the scene and are just as amazing as ever!
