Never in my 20 years on this Earth did I ever think I would come to the realization that, while many "best friends" have come and gone, I have had one stick by my side from the very beginning. Here are five reasons why your mother is actually the best friend you'll ever have.
1. She's been there from the start
Every tear shed, laugh laughed - she's been there through it all. I mean, she is the one who gave birth to you and she loves you more than anyone ever could.
2. She doesn't judge you
Chances are she's done some far worse things in her life and from doing those things, she's learned from her mistakes and will be there to help you through learning from yours.
3. She's your right hand, your go to
Need $20 for gas? She's got you. Need advice on if the boy you brought home to meet her is actually worth your time? She'll tell you whether or not you should kick him to the curb. Need someone to cry to when you feel like your world is crashing in and now one understands? Let those tears out because she'll be right there.
4. She knows you literally better than you know yourself
She's watched you grow up from the tiny little thing who couldn't fend for yourself to the strong independent young adult you are now. She knows your favorite foods, clothes, drinks, colors, music, all the dislikes, people you can't stand and more. She knows when you're upset from one "tweet" and can tell how happy you are from the sound of your voice. And she's always there to hear you out with whatever situation you are in.
5. She's the ultimate support system
Whether you believe it or not, she's not out to get you. All the groundings growing up and not-so-kind exchanging of words shared between you two have never changed the fact that she will support you in every and anything you want to do.
