It is finally October, and that means haunted houses are beginning their nights of frights for the season! Some people hate haunted houses and find it ridiculous to spend money on being scared. However, there some people who love the adrenaline of being scared without actual danger.

Scary movies satisfy most who seek a thrill, but haunted houses allow you to actually live through it (hypothetically, of course).

1. Haunted houses are the new adventure that only come around once a year.

Especially for small hometowns, there's not much to go out and do. Haunted houses provide for something different or something to get excited for.

2. Haunted houses are a thrill.

It is true. Not all may agree, but haunted houses can provide a thrill. People jumping out at you in scary masks in creepy areas can definitely provide a thrill.

3. Haunted houses can help advertise local areas.

A great example would be the Mansfield Ohio State Reformatory. The haunted attraction also highlights the rich history that comes with prison, as well as the ghosts.

4. Haunted houses can make you laugh.

A haunted house is a great place to laugh, believe it or not. It is fun watching your friends get scared and laughing at how goofy you all can be.

5. Haunted houses are the essence of the season.

Nothing makes its feel more like Halloween than haunted houses.

Make sure your enjoy the local haunted houses, or even make a trip to others. It is a great fall experience, and you're sure to get spooked!

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
