Ah, the leaves are falling, the colors are changing, and yes, the temperature is dropping. Say goodbye to your sandals, shorts, and tank tops and hello to boots, jeans, and sweaters. Get ready for endless piles of leaves, movie nights with your friends, and enough hot apple cider to make anyone sick. Here are the top 4 reasons why the weather changing from summer to fall temperuatures is the best time of the year.

1. Oversized Sweaters

Going to class? Throw an oversized sweater on. Hitting the library to study? Oversized sweater. Dinner date in town? Sweater. Oversized sweaters are perfect for any occasion once the weather changes, and they also require minimal effort to pull off. The answer to any outfit dilemma in the fall can always solved with an oversized sweater.

2. Scarves

Scarves are the epitome of functionality once fall weather hits. Whether it's below thirty or around fifty degrees, a scarf proves to be the perfect accessory. They can be worn with any attire ranging from a cute shirt that needs dressed up to a comfy crewneck that needs a little something extra. Scarves are the ideal accessory that manage to be highly functional as well as fashionable.

3. Blanket Burritos

Although burritoing yourself in a blanket is the go to move during any horrible day, one can only last inside for so long before breaking a sweat in the summer. Once the fall hits, being cocooned in a blanket has the power to relieve the cocooner of all the stress that has been following them around during the day; something all college students desperately need.

4. Change of Scenery

The transition from summer to fall scenery is always breathtaking. The leaves turn yellows, reds, and oranges resulting in gorgeous patterns on the trees and ground. The satisfying crunch of a leaf as you walk down the sidewalk adds an extra pep in your step. And of course, the spectacular sunsets that can be scene almost every evening, reflecting against the multicolored trees never fails to leave one speechless.

5. Flavors

Pumpkin and apples flavors take over during the fall. Warm apple cider, a hot pumpkin spice latte, or a decadent apple pie. There is certainly no shortage of pumpkin and apple during these months. With the weather dropping, the best part about these fall flavors is that they taste even better warmed up. Coming inside after spending the day in the crisp air, these flavors are the go to move to warm yourself up.

The best time of the year is finally upon us. Let us relish during our three months of perfect fall weather.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
