The transition that we all go through from high school to college is something that is extremely difficult to put into words. In high school, we were all sheltered. We were all stuck in our own little bubbles with the same people who we had known since elementary school. Everyone knew everything about everyone and there seemed to be no escape. There was nothing to do on weekends, no parties to go to, etc. Well, let me tell you, college is going to be your blessing. Graduation class of 2016, here is what you have to look forward to.

1. No Adult Supervision

This might be the best thing about college. There are no adults nagging you to do your homework or assigning you curfews when you're going out. You can stay out as late as you want on any day of the week. No one is in charge of telling you when to do your work, what time to go home, and what to wear. Everything is up to you and it is great.

2. Greater Population

When I'm just walking around my college campus, there are over 30,000 students who are going about their own business. The best thing about college is that there are so many different people. You can meet someone new every day. It is great not being limited in who you can socialize with. No matter where you go, you will always see a new face. Going out is the best because there are so many students who want to have a good time just like you and, you never know, maybe you will find a boyfriend/girlfriend.

3. Dorm Life

Living in a dorm is the experience of a lifetime. Even though sharing such a small space with another person is difficult, it is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. This is a time in your life when you will be constantly surrounded by friends. You will always have someone to hang out with, to study with, or to eat with at your fingertips. As freshmen, you share this experience together and I wouldn't give it up for the world.

4. Starting Your Career

Although most people don't know 100 percent what they want to with their lives, college helps you figure out what you like and dislike. You get to choose a major that interests you, so most of your courses will, eventually, be on topics that you are mostly interested in. Sitting in a class that grasps your attention is a lot less painful than taking every mandatory class in high school. Don't worry, most people will change their majors a few times to figure out what they enjoy.

5. Starting Over

The best thing about going off to college is that you don't know everyone. You have the opportunity to start over and leave your past behind. (Unless you're from Spanish River High School and you're going to the University of Florida.) No one knows what you were like growing up and no one knows much about you. So, take advantage of this opportunity and be the person who you always wanted to be.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
