Friends is known as one of the best television shows ever made simply because it is hilarious, heartwarming, and relatable even twenty-three years after it's initial release. Friends follows the lives of six complex main characters and their genuine relationships with each other and with others. They struggle with their careers, finances, relationships, friendships, and ever-changing lives which is why the show is so relatable to everyone who watches it. Still not convinced that you should watch it? Here are five reasons why you need to start watching ASAP:

1. It is hilarious.

Friends is just plain funny. From Chandler's clever jokes to Joey's life in general and pick-up lines, you will literally laugh out loud during every episode-- even if you have watched it before. Watching Friends will always make you laugh, even when you are having a bad day.

2. The characters are relatable.

Joey, Ross, Chandler, Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe are all great friends even though they are all very different and struggle with different things. Viewers can relate to Chandler's loneliness and awkwardness, Rachel's and Monica's struggles to get their dream jobs and desires to get married, Ross' struggles with divorce and raising a child as a divorced parent, Phoebe's lack of family and difficult past, and Joey's struggles to make it as an actor even though that is what he loves to do. These characters struggle with everyday life, just like the rest of us do.

3. The fashion and 90's culture is so fun to watch.

Watching Friends is like going back in time. It is great seeing how simple things were in the early 90's when technology was no where near as prevalent in our lives as it is now. Yet, the plot and the things the characters experience are timeless and are beyond relatable. Of course, the fashion is really fun to watch as well. From the overalls, mini skirts, and light wash jeans, the clothes all of the characters wear is something you cannot miss. Oh, how times have changed.

4. It never gets boring, repetitive, or unrealistic.

Many shows have that season or group of episodes that just is not that good. Friends is the exception to that. Every episode of Friends is 20-22 minutes without commercials and every season is full of high quality episodes that never get boring. You will not have to "dread" any season of this wonderful show. Also, the story lines never get outlandish or unrealistic like some other shows do when they are desperate to shake up the plot.

5. It reminds you how important your own friends are.

Even if you are not a part of a close-knit group of friends that see each other everyday, this show will remind you to value your own group. Even if you and your friends are somewhat dysfunctional and argue sometimes, this show will remind you how important they are to your life. Even when romantic relationships fail and you do not get along with your family, Friends reminds you that you should always be able to count on your friends and that you should always be there for them too.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
