5 Reasons Why Visme Is Better Than Canva

Visme is better than Canva. Period.

The debate is over.

As someone who’s been using both on a regular basis for more than a year now, I know what I’m talking about. Believe me. I’ve become, shall I say, somewhat of an expert on the subject, by this point. Go with Visme. I have listed a number of reasons why below. You’ll see.

I think it’s pretty safe to assume that many of you have at least heard of Canva. It’s been up and running since 2013 and boasts more than 10 million users worldwide. If not, just visit Canva.com today and check it out. It’ll tell you everything you need to know about the popular designing tool. While you’re at it, why not sign up as well? It’s free.

Visme, on the other hand, is not so well known. So, I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if none of you had heard of it before. However, it’s a creative tool just like Canva; they’re very similar platforms. Visme’s been up and running since 2012, which makes it slightly older than Canva. It boasted more than 500,000 users when I first started using it; today, it’s being used by more than 750,000 users and counting. It’s still on the rise.

Don't let the numbers fool you, people. Visme's the superior platform. What makes me so sure? I am so glad you asked. Let’s turn our attention to the five reasons I’ve listed below.

Reason No. 1

Visme allows users to add music to their slideshow presentations; Canva does not.

When I was first introduced to Visme, this was the first feature I was told about. But wait, there’s more…

Reason No. 2

Visme gives users the options of viewing their projects in grid form AND list form. You cannot view projects in list form on Canva.

Reason No. 3

Canva allows users to scroll up and down but NOT side to side. Visme allows users to scroll up and down AND side to side.

Reason No. 4

Users can scroll up and down much farther in Visme than they can in those directions in Canva.

Reason No. 5

While both Visme and Canva allow users to change the color of the text in a textbox, Visme also lets users fill in the color of the textbox itself; Canva does not.

So, there you have it. That is why Visme is better than Canva. Take it from someone who knows.

Still not convinced? Well, guess what? That is okay. Ultimately, it is up to YOU to decide which one you like better. I, personally, enjoy using both tools. Hell, even a member of the Visme team once admitted to me that she, too, has a Canva account, in addition to having one for Visme.

As for me, I often use my Visme and Canva accounts to make my own memes and desktop wallpapers. For a millennial living in the digital age, these two innovative platforms are very useful to me; they not only enhance my social-media experience but also provide me with a space in which I can flex my creative muscles. For someone as artistic and creative as me, I am more than happy to show my appreciation for BOTH!

More than anything, I wrote this piece to help spread the word about Visme and Canva. I think Odyssey readers and fellow millennials can appreciate them. You’ll also have tons of fun, which is always a good thing; I know I have.

Please share this article. Also, be sure to give Visme.co a visit when you get the chance. Sign up. You don’t want to keep missing out. (And yes, that’s Visme dot CO, not dot com.)

Now it's your turn, Odyssey readers. Get those creative juices flowing. The world is waiting to see your designs.

As a parting gift, I'll leave you with this meme I made. Cool, right?

Now can you guess which platform I used to make it? Visme? Or Canva?

I’m not telling. That little secret stays between me and the most interesting man in the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
