Being single isn't that bad. Sometimes you get lonely but, hey you always have your dog to cuddle up with at night! You want to enjoy your early 20's anyways. These are the best days to live life care free and worry free. These are the just focus on you days!

1. You can focus on yourself


You have time to set goals and focus on achieving these goals. You can also put yourself first before anyone or anything else. You won't have to think about your significant other's needs. You can just focus on your personal needs and wants.

2. You can focus on your career or education

Education is very important. You can focus on getting your dream career on the line and learning how to come completely financially independent before a serious relationship. It will be an awarding feeling when you won't need any kind of back bone or financial help from anyone.

3. Get up and go

If you don't want to spend your life in one area you can get up and go anywhere you want. Nothing will be holding your dreams or ambitions back. You have the freedom to travel once you are financially stable and explore the world! Become a free spirit!

4. Alone time

Everyone needs alone time. It gives our bodies and minds a break from the world. You don't have to worry about your significant other begging you to come over and you giving in because, you don't want to say no after a long busy day of school and work. We need to refresh our brains by being alone sometimes.

5.You can do whatever you want


You can literally do whatever you want. You don't have to tell anyone what you're doing or tell anyone where you are going. You can hang out with who ever you want at anytime. You don't have to rely on anyone to make decisions for you. You can have time to explore and live life before you're 30!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
