High school is a time to make some of your closest friends. College is also a time to make some of your best friends. However, you should not simply move on from the friends you made in high school. Yes, I know sometimes it is hard, but with effort you can stay in touch. After all, they are a big part of your life. I know it can be hard if they are still in high school or if you go to different colleges, but don't give up on them.
1. She knows your secrets
Let's face it, sometimes they know more about you than you know about yourself.
2. She stayed with you through the awkward years
Remember that eighth grade yearbook photo? The one where you forgot it was school picture day. Remember how your best friend helped you and your face look like less of a mess? You couldn't thank her enough for that.
3. You love her
She is basically your sister. You were so close and talked every day in high school, but have been drifting away; don't give up, though. She's been your boyfriend when you didn't have one, she did your hair and make up before every dance, she knows you inside and out and you know her in every aspect as well.
4. Life would be boring without her
So what if you don't talk to her every day like you used to? Friendship isn't always about talking every single moment of every single day, friendship is being able to pick up where you left off. You're both growing up but that doesn't mean you should drift away and give up on each other.
5. She's your best friend
There's really no explanation needed for this one. She is your best friend and it's as simple as that.
