5 Reasons Thanksgiving is the Best

5 Reasons Thanksgiving is the Best

Thanksgiving is here, finally. Time for turkey, reuniting with your high school friends, and spending time with your family! Here are a few things that are so great about Thanksgiving break.

1. Sleep

Nothing is better than the chance to catch up on sleep in your own bed back home.

2. Food

We all know that college food is the worst. Even if your school’s dining hall is delicious, it can still get boring. And Thanksgiving is the king of home cooked meals. Plus, that after dinner nap is always the best.

3. Reunions

The excitement of getting to see your high school and hometown pals for the first time in months is too much to handle. It’s time to hit up all your favorite stomping grounds and catch up on each other’s lives.

4. Family time

It’s great to actually be able to talk to your family face to face and not over Facetime.

5. Getting to just be home

College is great. College is fun and exciting, but sometimes we all just need a break. Thanksgiving comes at the perfect time, right before the stress of finals hits, but after the homesickness has left. The opportunity to go home and just relax in your hometown with some of your favorite people is the best feeling. Plus, you can never eat too many slices of pie, right?
