The jaw-dropping phrase that made every viewer immediately question Corinne Olympio's ability to be a wife for Nick Viall, better yet a mother quite yet; “I have a nanny.” So that’s a 24-year-old with no kids, and yes a nanny. She claims she wouldn’t want to stop a woman’s happiness but is she talking about Raquel or herself? Is a nanny really necessary at the age of 24? Let’s take a look at the life of a college student -- still more independent than the life of Corinne Olympios. At the age of 18, my friends and I are able to all do our own laundry, go to the grocery store to buy our own food, and yes we make our beds before we go to class all with the heavy workload of school and jobs. So should we all just get a "nanny" or should we learn to adult ourselves? Meet Corinne Olympios from "The Bachelor" who has refused to grow up and continues to call herself "a kid," needing someone to do everything for her.
1. Washing the dishes is just way too hard.
Washing the dishes takes time, energy, and it makes your fingers wrinkly. That is just too much for Corinne. Raven, also a Bachelor contestant claimed that "she doesn't even know how to clean a spoon."
2. Carrying a laundry basket might hurt your back.
Corinne admits that Raquel washes her clothes, but the real question is, does she even know how if she had to do it by herself?
3. Who else would make your bed and clean up your messes?
Making your bed is such a difficult task in the first place, but after sprawling makeup all over it -- that's just nearly impossible.
4. Why would you want to be spotted at the grocery store buying your OWN groceries?
Being seen as a normal human being at the grocery store is not something that Corinne; the Bachelor contestant, actress and model would want to do. Therefore she has someone for that. I mean the store is a pretty embarrassing place to be spotted when you need food to survive...
5. It’s definitely way too hard to make your own meals when you don’t even have kids to take care of.
We all heard Corinne say that she has tried and failed at making cheese pasta (Mac n' Cheese?) but she even has Raquel slice cucumbers for her, and make her salad. We wouldn't want her to cut her own cucumbers -- that might be dangerous, and too much garlic salt in her salad would be a disaster.
Maybe we all need someone to “keep our life together” like Raquel does for Corinne. Or is that just too much to continue to need a nanny... I understand that sometimes growing up is hard, I may only be 18 but I hope when I am 24 I’m not still calling myself “a kid” in need of someone to "keep my life together." Raquel has stolen the hearts of viewers and a go- fund- me page has been anonymously been created for her.
Bless her heart for being the adult this "kid" relies on, maybe one day Raquel will be taking care of Corinne and Nick's baby too -- I guess he would get some perks if he ends up picking her! Her Twitter feed is drama filled after the appearance of Raquel so if you do choose to get a nanny, be ready for the lash outs from your followers. Can't wait to see what else is revealed about Raquel's tedious job tending for this drama queen, or may I say drama "kid."
