In life you experience many friendships. Some continue for years, and some may end very quickly. I am lucky enough to have had my best friends since preschool, and my other best friend since third grade. These friendships have been apart of my life, for most of my time alive. During these friendships I have concluded that lifelong friendships are the best friendships, and I'll tell you why.

1. They Can Read You

Since I have hung out with these friends for most of my life they always know what I am thinking just by the expression on my face, or because they know what my reaction will be. If it is time to leave a party, they know it with a quick glance and if I am upset they will know it just by the small change of tone in my voice. I hardly ever have to communicate my feelings because they know how I am feeling, sometimes even before I know.

2. They Know All You've Experienced

Throughout life theres a lot of experiences that may be hard to talk about when beginning a friendship. If you've had these friends for life they were there when all these hard life events happened, you can avoid uncomfortable conversations explaining the trying times of life.

3. They Know What You Like

You've shared lots of meals together, so they know your favorite foods. They know all the different, small things that you like. My best friends know everything from my favorite color, to how long it takes me to shower.

4. You Can Trust Them

It's pretty obvious that if you've been friends with someone for years then you can trust them. I have full confidence that my friends would never betray my trust because they haven't for all our years of friendship.

5. You Can Reminisce About the Past

Since I've had these friends for years we went through all times of life together; including being awkward in elementary school all the way into High School. Something I love talking about with my friends is old funny memories that I have shared with them.

Having life long friends is the best feeling for so many reasons. I am so happy that I have been able to meet my best friends at such a young age so I can live my life alongside them. I know that I will be best friends with these girls for the rest of my life.
