Guys, dogs are the best. I’m not even going to lie to you. My dog is the one I look forward to seeing the most every day because she is simply the best. She is my baby girl, and I love spoiling her like she is a princess. So here are a few reasons dogs are really the best:

1. They Teach you responsibility.

Dogs are like kids, they require a lot of attention and maintenance. Whether it be taking them out to use the bathroom, feeding them on time, or keeping them clean, it is a lot important things that are now in your hands.

2. You never have to worry about having leftovers.

Leftover chicken? Beef? Pork? Your dog will be game for just about anything you are willing to give them. Although be careful what you feed them because there are certain things like grapes and Chocolate which are very harmful to them.

3. Hello new hiking buddy

Who better to go hiking with tan a dog?! They scare off animals and are a good defense against creeps. Other than that, they are always good company, and will never have an issue keeping up with you.

4. They will always bring a smile to your face.

Dogs are so silly. It’s adorable. The way they look at you begging for a bite of your chicken, and how excited they get when they see you come home after work are just a few ways they will always make you smile. Each dog is quirky in their own way. My dog has the funniest faces. Even thinking about them as I write this is making me smile.

5. They will love you unconditionally

Your dog is literally going to become your best friend. They do not judge, they don’t make snide comments, they don’t argue with you, or judge you. They love you. And they always will. It’s as simple as that.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
