5 Reasons Why Being Single In October Sucks

No matter what being single is the worst. Everywhere you look you see new relationship goals or see your friend in a new relationship. But in my opinion being single in the fall is by far the worst and here is why:

1.) Scary Movies

Who the heck wants to watch a scary movie alone. No one! Ya, you could watch it with your friends but we all know it is much more fun to watch it with that special someone.

2.) Haunted House

Haunted houses are always fun with your bae. For 2 simple reasons: 1. he can protect you from the scary things or 2. he can make fun of you for being scared, which we hate but at the same time love.

3.) Costume Parties

Come on! Another relationship goal MATCHING COSTUMES! Instead you just have to go as the basic sexy cat or sexy nurse. Like come on, who doesn't see that couple in matching costumes and go wow my costume sucks.

4.) Cuddling

The whether is getting colder and what better to do one that cold Sunday afternoon is snuggle up and watch a Netflix movie. Yet when you are single it resorts to just wrapping up in ten blankets and watching the same depressing romance movie why you cry and say why can't that be me. Yeah, I know we have all been there.

5.) Fall Things

Pumpkin patches, coffee dates, cute fall pictures, the list goes on. Everything in fall screams be in a relationship while you sit there single. Pick out a single pumpkin, work on homework at the coffee shop, take single photos when there is clearly a spot for the bae.

Being single sucks and we all want that perfect man but remember friends will always be there to be a fill in bae. Take cute pictures with them, go on starbucks runs to catch up, match with them at the costume party then you will never feel like you are single at all and can get through October without a significant other.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
