5 Problems You Face If You're A Total Groupie

Because sometimes John Mayer, Kanye West, and Fifth Harmony all in one week isn't enough.

Most everybody can agree that concerts make for a great night out! However, if you fall into that percentage of people labeled as "groupies," then you know that concerts are on their very own planet of entertainment. Every artist is your favorite artist and there is no person better than you at stalking the artists after a show. If you are a groupie, you also know these 5 struggles all too well:

1. People Assume You're Rich

Though it may seem to the outside world that you've got it going on, all those concert tickets add up pretty quickly. Let's face it... your Instagram feed is probably popping with pictures of you at various venues having the time of your life. And while this is somewhat true, it does not at all, however, mean that you will be buying extra tickets for any of your friends.

2. You Can Never See Everyone

If you're anything like me, you have a list of every artist you wish to see. And while this list is great for organization purposes, it has also shown me the reality that there's no way a groupie can see everyone. The genre of music most groupies like is SO wide, which makes it nearly impossible to span your money over everyone. Sometimes you have to pick favorites...and that's never fun.

3. Once Is Never Enough

Sometimes a favorite artist decides to visit your city twice, or three times, or however many times they see fit. And that is when all hell breaks loose. "Why is Justin Bieber coming to Dallas three times this year he knows I'm broke!!!" If opportunity knocks, why should groupies have to keep the door closed? I will gladly drain my bank account just to hear Justin's voice on three different occasions, and I don't think I'm the only one!

4. You May End Up With Not So Great Seats

Though groupies may be willing to give you their left foot to see a certain artist on stage, they know they have limits. Often times I have opted for the nosebleeds because it could save me a whole lot of money. It hurts not to get to stand right next to the stage, but think of it this way, if you save up enough from your previous seat selections you can splurge on another concert in the future!

5. Your Friends Just Don't Get It

Nobody understands why you need to see a different artist each week. Or why you may have to skip the party because you're going to see Ed Sheeran for the 5th time. If we're being honest nobody but your like-minded groupie friends will understand your obsession with concerts, but luckily there are PLENTY of fan accounts on Twitter that completely understand your struggles.

You can't truly ever explain why concerts mean so much to you as a groupie, but you don't have to! Keep doing you and keep buying tickets, because it is definitely worth it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
