If I had to say I had a passion for anything, it would have to be planners. I'm a fanatic! I started using written planners back in 2014, and I haven't stopped since! Now, you may think that you can just get by with Google calendar or the calendar on your IPhone, and you can, but I think paper planners are the best way to get organized and have a clear view of what's ahead. Planner season has officially begun, and I don't know about you... but I'm pumped! So as you approach your major decision, it can be pretty daunting. I mean, you have to use this planner until December 2017, so it better be good! That's where I'm here to help. I've listed five different planners that would be awesome for this year from school, to a full-time job, to anything inbetween!

1. Lily Pulitzer

This planner is the ultimate preppy planner, especially if you go to school in southern states. You'll get thousands of compliments on this, and for good reason... they're beautiful! What I loved about my LP planner is how FUN it was! It came with awesome stickers to put throughout your planner and it had a different Lilly print for every month! It would cheer me up every time I used it, so I was constantly writing something in there! I would make plans JUST so I can write it in my Lilly planner. There's a monthly view and they also have weeks, so it's great for keeping track of events on the monthly and assignments on the daily! 10/10 would reccomend.

2. ban.do

If you go on ban.do's website, it's so fun. They have every little thing you never knew you needed, but now you NEED it! The same goes for these planners, they come in all different styles and patterns. I personally love the floral patterns but they also have super awesome hand-drawn art which spices up life a little bit! This planner is seriously fun, all the time. It comes with 2 pages of stickers, fun drawings every month, and compliments throughout! This planner runs from August 2016 - December 2017 and are for sale NOW on their website!

3. Sugar Paper LA

I used my Sugar Paper planner constantly this past semester! They have a more sophisticated option, while still being fun! I LOVE their smaller sized planners! I have a pink medium sized one and it's perfect to throw in my purse and be my side-kick wherever I go! It's a January - December planner, so you'll have to wait a little bit to get it but it's so worth it! They have a sleek monthy layout and then for each weekday they also give you plenty of space to write details or assignments out! These babies sell out FAST so keep your eye out for when they're up on the website or are in stock at Target!

4. Rifle Paper Co.

My personal favorites are the Rifle Paper Co planners. In the picture above, is my very own planner starting August!! I was so excited to pick it up from the store I bought it within the first few days of it's release! This is almost like a big book of artwork... the pieces of paper are amazing and it has this delicate and simplistic theme throughout the calendar pages! It runs from August 2016 - December 2017. These are also the planners in the cover photo, and you should trust me and go buy one right now.

5. Erin Condren LifePlanner

This last planner is the mother of all planners, and it will cost you too. You can completely personalize it yourself from the cover to the color scheme and interchangeable covers and SO MUCH MORE! If you're willing to spend a little more to get exactly what you want, you will be the most organized person on campus! There's so many options of how you want your planner to look, it's almost indescribeable!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
