If you're a foodie like me and can appreciate eating experiences the way I do, you should check out these spots around New York and New Jersey, feel free to thank me later.

1. Bellvales Farms Creamery, Warwick New York

Located high in Warwick sits the second best ice cream in America. Yes, the SECOND best. Number two. The ice cream is made with the milk harvested straight from their own farm down the road. Not to mention it has an Insta-worthy view. Visit Bellvale Farms Creamery at 1390 Mount Peter Rd, Warwick, NY 10990

2. Caffe Ala Mode, Warwick New York

Do you like coffee? If the answer is yes, you will like Caffe Ala Mode. If the answer is no, you will still like Caffe Ala Mode. Besides from coffee, this hidden gem has a variety of baked goods, sandwiches, ice cream, burgers, and more making it a one stop shop. The wide selection of coffee and lattes make this spot a dream for any caffeine lover. My personal favorite is an Iced Vanilla Chai with chocolate and cinnamon. Mmm. Visit Caffe Ala Mode at 1 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY 10990

3. Beets Juice Bar, Park Ridge, New Jersey

How do you like your smoothies? In a cup, in a bowl? Good news, Beets has both! Although this cute spot is in New Jersey, it is definitely worth the drive. If you have not tried an Acai Bowl yet, this is the place to go. I recommend the Acai Dream bowl. Consisting of acai, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, granola, and honey, you'll be full for hours, I promise. Visit Beets Juice Bar at 21 Hawthorne Ave, Park Ridge, NJ 07656

4. B-Side Grill, New Paltz New York

If you're in the mood for a burger, milkshake, or even breakfast, B-Side has got you covered. This retro looking spot is located along Main Street in New Paltz, New York. Come to the B-Side, we have burgers. Visit B-Side Grill at 62 Main St, New Paltz, NY 12561

5. Sunflower/Howell's Cafe, Goshen New York

Alas, another cafe, but another good one. At Sunflower/Howell's cafe you can relax while sipping a power smoothie after taking your wheatgrass shot, with a hot quesadilla right in front of you. Doesn't that sound great? It should. You can find gluten free and vegan desserts here, wraps, burgers, salads, and more. Don't want a smoothie? Don't worry, you can get a fresh juice too. While you're at it, if you happen to visit on a Friday morning, feel free to take a stroll around the corner to the Farmer's market. Oh did I mention you can take a yoga class across the street too? Visit Sunflower/Howell's cafe at 18 W Main St, Goshen, NY 10924

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
