Many of us find it hard to believe that living in BBB (Boland, Brewster, and Brockway) is awesome. It is known to be crappy, far away, kinda in a sketchy area…yeah, all true. Yet, there actually are some perks. So next time you decide to say that BBB is the lamest dorm, which it isn’t, remember these five perks.
6. All Freshman
BBB is the only dorm complex, besides for Flint and Day, that are actually all freshmen. The sick part about this is that everyone here is literally in the same boat as you. We are all freshmen learning the ropes.
5. Own dining hall and gym
I know most dorms have this, but BBB has two gyms, a dining hall, multiple lounges, a convenience store, tons of plazas to chill on, and a large grassy area. We have our own little world that makes living here so much easier.
4. Close to the Dome
Game days are going to be awesome. After the epic tailgates at Castle Court and going to the game, we, along with Sadler and Lawrinson, have the easiest walk back. Just go right over the bridge and down the elevator or down the stairs at Falk and boom, you’re home.
3. Tons of storage
There is so much freaking storage. I went to college thinking I couldn’t bring anything because I’d have no room to put it. I was so wrong. I literally have one and a half huge closets, tons of storage above my bed, in front of my bed, near the door to my room, a huge dresser, and tons of storage in my desk. I think I can store more things in this dorm than in my own room at my house.
2. No stairs up the mount
Yes, we have a slight hill that goes beneath Veterans Affairs Hospital and then a walk to campus, but we don’t have the million stairs up to the mount. Everyone I know gets exhausted on those stairs and complain nonstop. In the winter it turns into a wind tunnel and in the summer it turns into a furnace where you’ll sweat to death.
1. The Sunsets
There's nothing like coming back form a long day of classes and sitting in bed only to look out your window and see this masterpiece. Whether you're doing work, getting ready for a fun night out, or even watching Netflix, you'll be sure to have your breath taken away.
