Outlets choose what to report, when to report it, and what to totally ignore. If you're looking for a few websites to feel that liberal or progressive person inside of you, visit the 5 following sites. These sites are each unique, but are guaranteed to cover stories that you simply won't find on ABCNews, Fox, or CNN.

A daily, independent source, serving as one of the largest news media collaborations. Visit the website or find programs on many college campus radio stations, NPR, and PBS.

A reader-supported non-profit news organizations with over 9 million website visitors each month.

3. Common Dreams
An independent non-profit news organization that values social justice and equality while stimulating critical-thinking.

4. True Activist
"Exposing the truth one lie at a time."
