Finals are over and you're headed home for the holidays. You tell yourself your gonna be active and productive over winter break. You're gonna go out and do fun holiday activities and spend time with all your hometown friends. We all think this is what is gonna happen. However, you are just lying to yourself. Realistically, you are going to lay in bed and watch Netflix, only leaving your room to eat and open presents on Christmas morning. But what should I watch on Netflix this Christmas break you ask? Well here are 5 Netflix series that will keep you busy and in bed for a whole month.
1. Friends
I mean this should be a no brainer people! Friends is a classic. The only friends you need this holiday season are Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross. See what I did there? With 10 seasons you are bound to never leave your room once. Your family may get super annoyed by you singing and clapping along to "I'll Be There For You" by The Rembrandts every 30 minutes but they haven't seen you in months so that will just have to be a sacrifice they have to make.
2. Dexter
A crime drama that follows a blood analyst for a police department that is also a murderer?! And he only kills other murderers?! Crime dramas are always a go to but this puts the icing on the cake. Dexter Morgan is a different type of hero and we are into it. This show has eight seasons and there have even been rumors stirring that it is coming back! Better catch up now just in case.
3. Gossip Girl
This is for you ladies. Who doesn't love dreaming of living the Upper East Side life through a classic teen drama series? Not to mention you get to look at Penn Badgley, Chase Crawford, and Ed Westwick for six seasons. As someone who has watched this series through more than once my one word of advice to you is don't Google who gossip girl is. Watch the series and try to figure it out, its more fun that way.
4. Parks and Recreation
Amy Poehler and the whole Parks and Rec cast will have you laughing endlessly. Every character in this show is golden, and some how you can connect with them all. If you need a good laugh this break after crying your way through finals, this is it. Seven seasons of award winning comedy will keep you held up in your room all of Christmas break.
5. American Horror Story
If your into some weird sh*t this show is for you. Don't watch this if you easily get scared or can't handle gory imagery. With each season following a different time period and story it will definitely keep you watching. Season five is airing right now and stars Lady Gaga. It has also been renewed for a sixth season.
