Netflix is the perfect place to binge watch TV shows and watch all different types of movies. However, Netflix does not always do their content justice when it comes to movie descriptions. Here is a list of ten movies who's actual content is way better than their description.
1. Tiger House
Tiger house is about a teenager who is not so loved by her boyfriend's parents. One night when she sneaks into see him, they are interrupted by a group of robbers. It is then up to her to get herself and her boyfriend's family out alive.
2.Circle
The rating on this movie is low, and the description is vague, but the movie is overall way better than it would originally appear. A group of 50 individuals are taken by aliens and forced to decide who lives and who dies. Only one person can make it out, who will it be?
3. A Girl Like Her
Ratings are very high on this movie but the description is a little dramatic and off key for the actual plot. It is a very good movie, but not so much about revenge, as written in the description. A young girl is bullied in school and attempts suicide. After the girl's failed attempt, a reporter tries to get to the bottom of how this could have happened.
4.Take Care
This movie is humorous and romantic. A New Yorker is forced to call her ex after getting hit by a car. She took care of him for two years while he battled cancer, and now it is his turn to help. The problem? He has a girlfriend who is not to thrilled about this plan.
5. Standing Up
Standing Up is a movie about two kids who were subject to a mean prank at camp. Instead of going back to all of the harassment, they decide to take off into the woods and wait for their parents. They both grow stronger in the process and develop a strong bond as well.
Hopefully with these new descriptions, more people will be willing to watch these movies and then enjoy them as much as others do. There are a ton of movies on Netflix that have vague or unlikely descriptions or low ratings, but you can find a gem in between the rocks if you just give some a try.
Also make sure to keep a look out on the "Titles Leaving Soon" page on Netflix. There is a possible 400 titles that will expire in June due to the expiration of the Miramax contract. The viewers never know if these movies are being taken off or not because it sometimes changes last minute, as it did in May. Make sure you check it out, look up the movies on Netflix, and remember to not always trust their shady descriptions! Instead, look it up on google or just go for it!
