You have your snacks, blanket, and are snuggling up with your boo (or dog I don't judge) but you have no idea what to watch. Netflix is fantastic, but I do find myself often struggling with what to watch. Since you're already all snuggled up and ready to go, I compiled a short list of some of my recent favorites on Netflix. Go watch them before they get replaced!

1. Tallulah

Genre: Drama/Comedy

Cast: Ellen Page, Allison Janney, Tammy Blanchard, Evan Jonigkeit

Vagabond Tallulah "rescues" a baby from a rich irresponsible mother. She brings her to her boyfriend's mother who mistakes the child as their own. (Witty and sweet, has major indie vibes if you're into that.)

2. The Overnight

Genre: Mystery/Comedy

Cast: Adam Scott, Taylor Schilling, Jason Schwartzman,

A new couple moves to LA and meets eccentric friends that invite them for pizza and give them a night to remember. (This movie is SO weird, watch it with an open mind. It's a journey, you'll be exhausted after. Plus, Piper is in it.)

3. The Invitation

Genre: Horror/Drama

Cast: Logan Marshall-Green, Tammy Blanchard, Mike Doyle

A man gets invited to a dinner party by his ex wife and her new husband, and he's suspicious of their dinner intentions. (I always guess endings, BUT you will not see this one coming. Unnerving.)

4. Hush

Genre: Horror

Cast: Kate Siegel, John Gallagher

A young deaf author living alone in the woods navigates surviving the night when a crazed masked killer shows up at her window. (One of the best horror movies I've seen in a long time. The transitions from audio to nothing is perfect.)

5. American Beauty

Genre: Drama, Romance

Cast: Kevin Spacey, Wes Bentley, Mena Suvari, Allison Janney

An introspective look into the nuclear family you think you know. (An oldie but a goodie. It starts out slow, but the ending is crazy. If you figure out the rose petal symbolism, extra credit!)

BONUS

The Shallows

This one is not on Netflix yet, but you need to watch. Blake Lively is exceptional.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
