Have you ever watched a movie that made you feel like all your troubles were washed away? What about one that made you want to get up and make a difference, weather it be in your life or in the world in general? Here are a handful of movies that have surely changed my life in one way or another. The could change yours, too.

1. "For Greater Glory"

"For Greater Glory" is a movie about the Cristero War that took place in Mexico from 1926-1929. This was a brutal time period in Mexico as many Catholic priests and lay people were being murdered for practicing their religion. One special person portrayed in this film is Blessed Jose Sanchez Del Rio. He was only a teenager when he became a martyr. His faith in God was so strong and his strength is inspiring in my life. When I saw this movie, my life was forever changed.

2. "Miracles From Heaven"

What I learned from this movie is included in the title. Miracles happen. Miracles do not happen once a day, once a month, or once every 3 years but every second of the day is a miracle. These miracles come from Heaven, they come from God. An example in this movie is the miracle of people doing nice things for one another because you never know the battle they may be trying to fight. Any act of kindness, big or small, will change the life of another weather it heals them of an illness or simply just places a smile on their faces. This movie is a must-see and will make one understand miracles do happen and they happen in every second of every day.

3. "Cinderella"

The modern-day Cinderella movie was filled with many lessons. My favorite lesson is a famous line in the movie, “Have courage and be kind.” Cinderella faced many hardships in her life and that phrase helped her through it all. She had courage and she was kind towards her evil stepmother and stepsisters. Cinderella surely killed them with kindness. It also taught me that the storm passes. She went through a massive storm in her life and in the end, the storm finally passed and she finds her true love and lives happily ever after.

4. "McFarland, U.S.A."

"McFarland U.S.A." is a movie about high school students in a small town in California that is predominately Latino. These students were on a very dark path and it was a motivational coach who put them on the path to success -- not just in cross-country, but in life. These boys went from believing in nothing to believing in themselves and what they are capable of achieving. This movie helps me to believe that I can do anything I want to do and be whoever I want to be. It takes a lot of hard work to succeed, but it is all well worth it.

5. "Instructions Not Included"

Last, but certainly not least, is "Instructions Not Included." This movie shows how strongly a parent loves their child. A parent will turn their life around and do anything for their child. Another lesson is that we never know how long we have with our loved ones so make every moment count. Yes, the entire movie is in Spanish, but not to worry -- there are subtitles.

These movies have made a huge impact in my life and they will make an impact on yours too. All of these movies are must-sees. Did I mention they are also tear jerkers? Grab some popcorn and a box of tissues and enjoy.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
