5 Makeup Brands Everyone Needs to Know About

I love makeup and enjoy trying out new products and brands. From eyeshadows to foundations, no product is left untried. Here are 5 of my favorite makeup brand you need to know about NOW.

1. Makeup Geek

From brushes to highlighters, Makeup Geek has it all. But their most popular items are their single pan eyeshadows and eyeshadow pallets. The pigmentation of these eyeshadow products is out of this world and they are very affordable too.


2. Morphe Brushes

Morphe Brushes has the best affordable brushes for face, eyes, contour, etc. They also have AMAZING eyeshadow pallets that are super affordable and extremely pigmented. Even Jaclyn Hill loves Morphe eyeshadows. They also have amazing concealers.


3. Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Jeffree Star Cosmetics is a newer brand created by YouTube sensation, Jeffree Star. Jeffree has created highly pigmented highlighters, a bright and bold eyeshadow pallet, but most importantly, liquid lipsticks. Jeffree Star Cosmetics has amazing liquid lipsticks in so many crazy and flattering shades.

4. Lime Crime

Lime Crime isn't as well known as other makeup brands, but they do not disappoint. Their unicorn and velvetine lipsticks are the perfect amount of grunge and girly. They also have two great eyeshadow palettes for the grunge in everyone.

5. NYX Cosmetics

NYX is probably my favorite drugstore brand of makeup. They have everything from liquid lipsticks to contour kits. Everything is extremely affordable and high quality. I personally love their soft matte liquid lipstick.

There are many other brands that didn't make my top 5 (Colourpop) but these are some that you need to try. Like now. Get out there and try some of these products and brands.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
