5 Incredibly Simple DIY Snacks For This Halloween
One Little Project

Throughout my time on Pinterest I have learned that not everything can be completed by the average human, not to mention a broke college student with limited resources. No, I cannot afford every product in your makeup tutorial. Yes, I want to make a chandelier out of sticks in the forest and a giant balloon, but do I have the products? Not at all. So for this Halloween I wanted to make a list of the easiest Pinterest do it yourself snacks with limited supplies for the less talented, people on budgets, and just plain lazy people. This ones for you, my friends.

1.) Halloween Pretzels

From Butter With A Side Of Bread's article on how to make Halloween pretzels three ways comes the cutest pretzel snack ever. They introduce the pumpkin pretzel, the alien pretzel, and the mummy pretzel from simple ingredients such as Candy Melts, M&Ms, coconut oil, and pretzels. You can get the full instructions on the page! So simple, yet so adorable.

2.) Monster Krispies

While you are completing your Halloween pretzels, keep the Candy Melt out for this next snack! From One Little Projects' website comes how to make monster krispies. All you need is some Candy Melt in vibrant colors, candy eyes, cooking oil, and a bunch of Rice Krispies. Seems like a perfect after trick-or-treating snack.

3.) Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats

From your leftover Rice Krispies from the previous recipe, you can try this pumpkin rice krispie treat recipe from Cincy Shopper! All you need is 6 Cups Rice Krispie Cereal, 3 tbs butter, 1 bag of marshmallows, red & yellow food coloring, 12 Tootsie Rolls, 1 Green Fruit Roll-up for her exact size amounts. She gives great step by step directions that anyone can follow.

4.) Harvest Hash Chex Mix

Again from One Little Project's website comes Harvest Hash Chex Mix! Just pile Rice Chex cereal, pretzels, bugles, candy corn, candy corn pumpkins, and Reece's Pieces in a bowl, mix it up, and let the magic of this salty and sweet combination take you through Halloween.

5.) Zombie Brain Cupcakes

Lastly, I present to you Zombie Brain Cupcakes from Sugar Hero's website. This can really work with any cupcake recipe, the cute Halloween aspect comes from the design on top. With a piping tool (or a plastic bag with a hole in it) and some pink frosting, you can create your own zombie brains! Anyone can complete this sweet design just in time for Halloween.

Hopefully this has satisfied the cravings of my fellow less talented, budget conscious, and just plain lazy people. Shoutout to you, my friends. Happy Halloween!!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
