Growing up I used to always visit the Pretty Place chapel with friends and wonder what it would be like to get married in such a beautiful place. I think the idea of juxtaposing the visual beauty of the mountains with an emotionally beautiful wedding is simply divine. Here are some incredibly amazing places you could have an outdoor wedding.
1. Symmes Chapel, Pretty Place.Cleveland, S.C.
The Symmes Chapel, also known as Pretty Place is a beautiful mountain chapel located in the YMCA's Camp Greenville. The chapel has an incredible view of the blue ridge mountains that would set the perfect backdrop for any wedding. For a two hour time block it costs $924 to rent the chapel.
2. The Little Nell Wedding Deck. Aspen, Colo.
The Little Nell Wedding Deck sits 11,212 feet in elevation looking out over the beautiful Elk Mountain Range. Located in Aspen, this is the perfect destination wedding for people who love the outdoors, the mountains, and skiing! The wedding deck can also hold up to 250 guests.
3. Hunter Mountain. Hunter, N.Y.
Enjoy the incredible views on top of Hunter mountain for this scenic, northeastern spot. Ran by the Hunter Mountain Resort and the Catskill Mountain Club, you can have your wedding here and bring up to 350 guests. Here's the best part though: you get to ride a chair lift to the top of the mountain, making it an awesome destination for any pair of adventurers.
4. Dunton Hot Springs. Dunton, Colo.
The Dunton Hot Springs is an incredible open-air chapel located right next to a 40-foot waterfall in Colorado's San Juan Mountains. Dunton Hot Springs is a tiny, yet extremely romantic, mountain town that can be rented and utilized in many different ways. Some people even rent the entire town out for their wedding!
5. Fairmount Chateau Lake Louise. Alberta, Canada.
This beautiful venue on Lake Louise, in Alberta, has two options for beautifully scenic wedding spots. The Victoria Terrace can hold up to 150 guests while the Lakeview Terrace can hold up to 300 guests. Needless to say, wedding guests will be stunned by the incredible juxtaposition of the mountains against Lake Louise.
